Trailers: A trailer for "Stardust," a pricey fantasy epic adapted from this winking novel by nerd king Neil Gaiman, is here. The impressive cast is headed up by relative unknown Charlie Cox; Claire Danes, sporting blow-out flaxen elf locks Orlando Bloom would envy, plays his love interest.

A trailer for Spirit Award-nominee "Stephanie Daley," which offers Amber Tamblyn as a troubled high school student who hid her pregnancy and Tilda Swinton as the forensic psychologist trying to figure out if she intentionally murdered the child she eventually gave birth to, is here.

Acquired: Earlier reports has Francis Ford Coppola in talks with United Artists, but his film "Youth Without Youth" will actually be released by Sony Pictures Classics.

In a statement from his company, American Zoetrope, Coppola described the movie as, "A love story wrapped in a mystery." And he added, "This film was conceived and completed independently. It was made with a small team that worked intensively in Romania for a year and a half. The story revolves around the key themes that I most hope to understand better: time, consciousness, and the dream-like basis of reality."

The film stars Tim Roth (who's set to make a bit of a comeback this year and the next), and will be released in late fall of this year. [indieWIRE]

Page Six is rumoring in a particularly nasty fashion that Magnolia Pictures is in discussions to distribute controversial 9/11 conspiracy doc "Loose Change," with Charlie Sheen coming on board to narrate. "Loose Change" is a huge internet hit (you can watch it online here); a full-length film that posits that the US government planned and executed the events of 9/11.

Sheen's rep confirmed his participation. Cuban e-mailed us: "We are having discussions about distributing the existing video with Charlie's involvement as a narrator, not in making a new feature. We are also looking for productions with an opposing viewpoint. We like controversial subjects, but we are agnostic to which side the controversy comes from." [NY Post]

Tartan Films continues its Asian horror rampage by picking up the rights to the awesomely (or...something) titled "The Slit-Mouthed Woman," a "Japanese chiller about a hideously deformed woman who is accused of a gruesome killing spree is based on a well-known folk legend." The film will likely go straight to DVD and hit shelves in July. [Variety]

In the works: The next film from Sam Mendes will be "Revolutionary Road," an adaptation of this novel about a trouble mid-1950s Connecticut couple by Richard Yates. "Revolutionary Road" will star Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, and will threaten to destroy the world will all kinds of dire "Titanic"-references headlines. [Variety]

Actor Edward James Olmos will direct an adaptation of Carlos Fuentes' novel "The Crystal Frontier," which consists of nine intertwining stories set around the US-Mexico border. Olmos has directed before — he helmed and starred in 1992 gang drama "American Me." [Hollywood Reporter]

Rose McGowan, perhaps inspired by her roles in neo-B movie "Grindhouse," will star as tragic B-movie queen and Roger Corman favorite Susan Cabot in biopic "Black Oasis." Cabot, who had a famous fling with King Hussein of Jordan, died in a spectacularly lurid Hollywood fashion at age 59, bludgeoned to death by her son Timothy, who suffered from dwarfism (not to imply that would make one murderous) and psychological problems. Stephan Elliot (of "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert") will write and direct. [Variety]
